Quarantine Skin and Hair Care at Home

Traditional remedies are the best and most affordable way to get flawless skin and hair growth. During the lockdown, you can’t go to the salon, but there are ways to take care of your skin and locks at home during the quarantine.
Just like face masks, hair masks are easy to make and give great results. So if you want smooth, shiny hair, good volume and great length then try the below hair packs or masks.
There are so many ingredients at home, in your kitchen that you can use for home remedies because if there was ever a time to be kind to yourself, it is now.

Turmeric
Turmeric is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory in nature. It helps in brightening, rejuvenating the dull skin and hence improving overall complexion. Make a simple mask with turmeric, honey, and milk and apply it on your face and neck to get glowing skin.

Lemon Juice
Vitamin C is very important for our body and also for our skincare. Lemon juice is the easiest way to induce vitamin C into your body. Apply diluted lemon juice on your face with a cotton ball, it acts as a toner and vitamin C serum. Before applying lemon on the face, do a patch test as it is acidic in nature, it can irritate sensitive skin.


Multani Mitti Face Mask
Multani Mitti is rich in Aluminium Silicate and Magnesium Silicate that provide the clay with its excellent adsorbent properties. Mix Multani mitti with orange peel powder, lemon juice, turmeric powder and honey. Apply the paste on your face and let it completely dry off, then wash it with water. This is a very good face mask for oily skin.

Cold Face Pack
Grind tomato, cucumber, mint, and potato and mix it with rose water. Put it in an ice tray and apply it on the face in the morning, let it dry and wash it off. 

Fenugreek seeds
Fenugreek seeds can make your hair shiny. Soak the seeds overnight and then make a mask by adding a paste of fenugreek seeds in the coconut oil. Apply the mask for 1-2 hours and use the pack regularly to improve hair and scalp health.

Rice water
Rice water contains inositol which can repair damaged hair. It can be used as a hair rinse, which will help to strengthen the hair. So, if you have weak and thin hair, this magic potion can be your ultimate hair saviour.

Aloe Vera
Aloe vera helps in balancing the Ph levels of the scalp and hair and promotes hair growth. Mix the aloe vera gel with coconut oil or olive oil and the mixture directly on the scalp and let it sit for an hour. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo and repeat this process 2-3 times a week.

Potatoes
Potatoes contain potassium, Vitamin C, and iron which play vital roles in maintaining hair health. Blend a medium-sized potato and squeeze out its juice. Mix one tablespoon honey in the juice and apply the mixture on the scalp as well as hair strands and leave it for 1 hour. Wash It off with a mild shampoo and repeat the process weekly for best results.

Egg White Mask
Eggs are a rich source of protein, Vitamin B and other essential nutrients which helps in hair growth. Mix egg white with coconut oil and apply it on your scalp for 1 hour. Wash your hair with mild shampoo and conditioner.

Banana Hair mask
Mash one ripe banana and mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil and coconut oil. Add a tablespoon of honey to the mixture and apply the mask on your hair. Leave the mask on your hair for 15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. This mask gives smooth and shiny hair and also prevents hair loss.
